The Get Connected course provides an introduction to the digital world with networks as a foundation for connecting people and things. 30 hours duration.
Who is the course suitable for?
The curriculum helps students understand how to use computers and connect to the Internet. Get Connected also explores the human network and introduces students to the world of social media.
Entry requirements:
Basic knowledge of computing and keyboard skills.
How is the course delivered?
Candidates use an online learning platform without the need to attend the college to gain this qualification. Guided online learning materials contain the information required to meet assessment criteria, and activities allow candidates to practice the skills and knowledge gained throughout each unit of the course.
Course content:
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Understand the basics of computers and communications using electronic and social media.
- Manage files and documents on a Windows-based computer.
- Navigate the Internet and use search engines and web mail.
